Details: Ruth 023 8058 4497. ***** SPECIAL EVENTS ***** Walk at Swanwick Nature Reserve, Swanwick June 22nd. Meet in car park at noon. Bring packed Lunch. The 70 acre reserve was formerly a clay quarry, which fed the nearby brickworks. Take the A27 from Southampton to Swanwick (Moody's Boat yard on your right). At the traffic lights turn left into Swanwick lane and follow the road on., past the Burseldon Brickworks on your left, the road goes over a bridge spanning the Motorway, eventually turn left into Sopwith Way at the end of the road you will see the Air traffic control Centre. Before you get to this turn right into the car park of the nature reserve. If it has been raining a lot please bring suitable footwear - it can get very muddy! Details: Ruth 023 8058 4497. Garden Party at Graham and Di's, Swanmore July 20th, 1pm onwards. Graham and Di's annual garden Party at Holywell. Bring vegan food and drink to share, then either enjoy a tour around the stock free organic garden and woodland, or just chill in good company in Graham and Di's cottage garden. Held at the 1,000 acre estate where Graham Cole works and lives as the gardener. He grows fruit and veg vegan-organically - that is, without any animal by-products such as blood, fishmeal, bonemeal and manure. He's happy to answer any gardening questions. Free entry (donations welcome). Chocolate-based menu, lots of free samples, chocolate fondue, exhibition on the history of chocolate + speaker + film (the last two tbc). Little Green Fête, followed by Little Green Party, Southampton August 30th, noon onwards at The Art House, 81a Bedford Place, Southampton, SO15 2DF (entrance on Henstead Road). Free entry (donations welcome). A mini veggie version of Environmental Rock. Stalls, entertainment, live music, tombola, face painting, speakers, film showings, raffle, etc. |
